Based in New York City, Mika has been influenced by makeup since age 11. For most of her life she has been a writer and is constantly designing characters based on her own imagination. She seeks out creativity through imagination for as long as she can remember.

The power of becoming someone and something else completely allows an escape from reality. Mika has taken part in many performances since her 6th grade year in her schools Winterguard program. One of the many talents required in such a sport is an intense understanding of makeup and how it can influence an audience to feel an overall mood and tone about your performance. To continue this fascination with makeup, Mika joined many event since then such as Banes Haunted House and attraction in Hell’s Kitchen NYC and ScreamWood Forest in Syracuse, NY.

Mika moved to New York City where she attended Makeup Designory (MUD) completing the Master’s Program. (812 hours) It was during this intensive training that she designed makeup or a series of beauty and fashion photo shoots and designed a range of characters. She has worked on several fantasy short films with a range of upcoming directors and talented casts and has brought her whimsical style to editorial spreads in local magazines.

Mika looks forward to continuously evolve and improve, designing and creating. She continues to seek out those opportunities to bring her work to life and to become a role model to inspire others to lose touch on reality and escape into another world.
